I wanted to experience what it would feel like to have liquid clay poured over me from a height, I had no idea how I would react.

I stand in a pool of white clay, within an industrial building; thick kaolin slip starts to drip on to me from above. The frequency of the falling clay increases but I do not move away.

Through this simple act, a myriad of associations are evoked but not prescribed. The moment is intense. The camera captures some of my complex feelings but when I look back at the images I am surprised how I find them beautiful as well as disturbing.
